In all cases I have been closely involved in the process of developing working methods and work strategies which minimize the impact of the individual's disability on their employment. This may have required:

finding effective ways of accessing information;
management of support workers;
increasing employer and colleague disability awareness and understanding;
job design or redesign, so as to take advantage of the individual's specific abilities and help them to carve their own niche within a team and
securing appropriate Access to Work provision.
