GETTING STARTED WITH ACCESS
TO WORK
Making an initial application to Access to Work can be challenging for
both employers and individuals. Experience shows that a good
understanding of the AtW system can greatly ease the process of
applying for and obtaining support. I offer a range of services
to both individuals and employers, aimed at easing the path to
obtaining the required support. These include:
- understanding the AtW system and what it can provide;
- knowing what it is reasonable to ask for from AtW;
- understanding the needs of a person with a disability at
work;
- making a good case for AtW support;
- understanding how the AtW system works;
- applying for AtW support;
- preparing for an AtW review or for renewal of support and
- knowing what it is not reasonable to ask for from AtW.
This support can also be provided throughout the process of
application to AtW and assessment, right up to full implementation of
whatever support is provided by AtW.
These services are offered through telephone, email or written
communications or through personal meetings with employers or
individuals. Charges will always be kept to a minimum and will be
agreed before they are incurred. An initial enquiry is always
free.
